| Mike Shields |
Mike Shields originally trained in broadcast engineering, refrigeration technology, and theater lighting and design. He began his career in the communications and broadcasting industry as a field electrician, and engineering assistant doing radio and television shows on site. At various other times, he has worked as a professional facilities manager, and electrical design consultant in Detroit, New York, West Virginia, and Kansas City. Following a period as a field engineer in the glass and optical testing industry, he also worked in the agricultural and chemical industry as a mixing and packaging technician. Additionally, he spent some time in design and installation of premise security systems and stand-by power management systems. He has been working with Quimby Pipe Organs for more than 15 years as an on-site electrician, and a member of the installation crew.
